Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

At e-Tempmail, privacy isn't an afterthought - it's the entire reason this service exists. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, what we don't collect, how temporary email data is handled, and the choices you have when using our free disposable email service. We've written this policy in plain language so you can actually understand it, rather than burying it in legal jargon.

By using e-Tempmail, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree with any part of it, please discontinue use of the service.

1. Information We Collect

e-Tempmail is built around minimal data collection. Because our core service - generating a disposable email address - does not require registration, we do not collect names, passwords, phone numbers, or billing information from visitors using the free service.

That said, some limited information is processed automatically as part of running any website. Below is a breakdown of what that includes.

1.1 Personal Information

We do not require you to submit personal information such as your name, home address, or government-issued ID to generate or use a temporary email address. The service is designed to function anonymously by default.

1.2 Temporary Email Content

Messages sent to a temporary inbox are stored only for the duration of that inbox's active session. Once an address expires, its associated messages are automatically deleted from our systems. We do not archive, back up, or retain copies of expired inbox content.

1.3 Log Files

Like most websites, our servers automatically record certain technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps of activity. This data is used for basic operational purposes such as security monitoring, diagnosing technical issues, and understanding aggregate traffic patterns. Log data is not used to identify individual users personally.

1.4 Cookies

We use cookies to support core site functionality, such as remembering your active temporary inbox during a session. Cookies may also be used by third-party services described below. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect certain site features.

1.5 Analytics

We may use third-party analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site - for example, which pages are viewed most often. These tools typically collect aggregated, non-identifying usage data rather than personal information tied to a specific individual.

2. Google AdSense & Advertising

e-Tempmail may display advertisements served through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites across the internet.

2.1 Google DoubleClick Cookie

Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. This helps display advertising that may be more relevant to your interests.

2.2 Opting Out of Personalized Advertising

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Additionally, you can opt out of some third-party vendor cookies used for personalized advertising by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

2.3 Third-Party Advertising Partners

Third-party ad networks and advertising partners may use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons in their respective advertisements, which travel directly to your browser and automatically receive your IP address. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to personalize the advertising content you see. e-Tempmail does not have direct access to or control over the cookies used by these third-party advertisers.

3. Email Retention & Automatic Deletion

The core design principle behind e-Tempmail is impermanence. Temporary email addresses and any messages received in them are automatically deleted after a set expiration period. This is intentional: a disposable inbox that retains data indefinitely would defeat the purpose of a privacy-focused tool.

Once an address expires:

  • All messages associated with that address are permanently deleted.
  • The address itself is released and may not be recoverable.
  • No backup or archive of the deleted content is retained by e-Tempmail.

Because of this automatic deletion process, we strongly recommend downloading any attachments or saving important information from a temporary inbox before the session expires, as we cannot recover deleted messages upon request.

4. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect data processed through our service from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. This includes standard practices such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and our servers.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we work to protect information processed through e-Tempmail, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and temporary email should not be relied upon for highly sensitive or confidential communications.

5. GDPR Compliance (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regarding any personal data that may be processed, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data where applicable.

Because e-Tempmail's core service does not require registration or the submission of identifying personal data, most interactions with our service do not involve the type of personal data covered extensively under GDPR. Where log data or cookies are processed, we aim to minimize retention and identifiability wherever possible.

6. CCPA Compliance (California Users)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you rights regarding personal information collected about you, including the right to know what data is collected and the right to request deletion of that data.

e-Tempmail does not sell personal information to third parties. Because our service is designed to minimize personal data collection from the outset, most visitors will have little to no personal data on file to request access to or deletion of.

7. Children's Privacy

e-Tempmail is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action to remove such information.

8. External Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including advertisers, that are not operated by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external website you visit.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. Any changes will be posted on this page along with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we handle information.

10. Contact Us
